Banana bread
2 eggs, well beaten
2 tbsp hot water
1 tsp soda
3 bananas
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Crisco shortening
2 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
Instructions: Beat eggs, disolve soda in hot water and add to egg mixture. Mash the bananas with a fork until mushy and add to the mixture, combine the remaining ingredients into the mixture.

Loaf: Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan, preheat oven to 375 degrees, bake for 1 hour.

Muffins: Spoon the mixture into muffin cups, preheat oven to 400 degrees, bake for 1 hour.

Yield: 1 loaf or 18 muffins.

Note: When the bananas become too soft too eat, you can freeze them until needed.
